Chris & Alyssa: Nashville Wedding Photographer

A couple weekends ago I was asked to help second shoot a beautiful wedding for a cute Lipscomb couple. The photographer I shot with, Libby Barker, is precious, and was so much fun to work with! I was so excited she asked me to join her for the day! She had some great ideas, which is one of my favorite things about second-shooting: learning!
The ceremony took place at Belle Meade Plantation in west Nashville, and the reception was also on property but in the stables! The weather was quite the tease that day- it poured down rain early that morning, making everyone a little anxious. But as soon as it was time to get the show on the road, the sun came out and it was all blue skies for the rest of the day. So beautiful! The sweet bride, Alyssa, truly scored a perfect early fall afternoon for her special day. I think my favorite details of this wedding were the flowers. I could just stare and stare at those bright, happy colors she used in the bouquets. I just loved them so much!
The ceremony was so intimate and reflected the couple's love perfectly. There's just something about a garden ceremony, white wooden chairs, old historic trees all around, and a string quartet.
Here are my favorites. I was only able to stay and photograph the bride getting ready through the end of the ceremony, but I can't wait to see Libby's photos of the reception!

Carli

Meet my beautiful, beautiful friend, Carli. She is one of the sweetest girls I know, and not to mention she is absolutely adorable. I met Carli a couple years ago at a social club mixer right after we had both transferred to Harding. As fate would have it we literally bumped into each other and were introduced by a mutual friend. Transfers have to stick together, and thus, we became friends! Now, post-graduation we're both living in Nashville, meeting weekly for coffee, gossip, and the occasional shopping spree. The other day she agreed to let me take her out and do a photo shoot, just for fun. We ended up finding a steal of a place to shoot, and the pictures we got might be some of my favorite ever! A few just look unreal to me, it's amazing how much beauty God can create out of one sunny, fall morning. Here they are, enjoy!
