Several weeks ago I was given the spur of the moment opportunity to head back up to Chicago to help Sarah Barlow shoot another wedding, along with another previous intern. Sarah has been SUCH a huge player in helping me gain the confidence and knowledge needed to start my business and really dive in! Not enough words for how awesome that chick is!
Well, the wedding turned out to be just north of Chicago, in what turned out to be literally the furthest north I've ever been. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The bride and the groom decided not to see each other, so you could feel the excitement just from hanging out with the bride beforehand. I could tell that she was just beside herself with happiness for the day to come. Unfortunately we weren't able to get any "getting ready" shots, so we tried to snatch up some quick details. The ceremony itself was probably the most emotional ceremony I've ever been to. I could even feel myself tearing up at times. The love that these two have for each other is just amazing, and the way it showed during the ceremony made for many-a-sniffles. After the ceremony, we headed out to a local park where the sun was gorgeous and the willow-trees were to die for. Then it was off to the reception, where a full dance party ensued. Her dress could not have been more perfect for dancing. Every time she spun it around, it looked like a fairytale. Such a great wedding. So happy to have been a behind-the-scenes hand on their special day.
